GENERAL INFORMATION

Stoplight switch arrangement

The switch of a stoplight is fixed on an arm in the top part of a pedal of a brake.

The provision of a pedal of a brake at adjustment of a free wheeling

1 – stoplight switch

2 – free wheeling of a pedal of a brake

3 – full speed of a pedal of a brake

4 – distance from the pressed brake pedal to a floor

5 – floor carpet

6 – partition of a motor compartment

Check

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Disconnect the electric socket from the stoplight switch and connect an ohmmeter to contacts of the switch.
2. Check that at the released brake pedal contacts of the switch of a stoplight are opened, and when pressing a pedal of a brake contacts of the switch become isolated.

Adjustment

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Check height of installation and a free wheeling of a pedal of a brake.
2. For adjustment of height of a pedal of a brake disconnect the electric socket from the stoplight switch, weaken a lock-nut of fastening of the switch and, rotating the switch, establish brake pedal height (height of installation of a pedal of a brake is measured from a partition of a motor compartment).
3. Connect the electric socket to the stoplight switch and check operation of the switch.
4. For adjustment of a free wheeling of a pedal of a brake weaken a lock-nut on a pusher of a brake and, rotating a pusher, establish the required free wheeling then tighten a lock-nut (see rice. The provision of a pedal of a brake at adjustment of a free wheeling).
5. For adjustment of position of the switch of a stoplight weaken a lock-nut of the switch and, turning the switch, adjust its situation so that the plunger acted from the switch on 1–3 mm. Tighten a lock-nut.

Replacement

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Disconnect the electric socket from the stoplight switch.
2. Unscrew a lock-nut of the switch and unscrew the switch from an arm.
3. Installation is made in the sequence, the return to removal. If necessary adjust position of the switch of a stoplight.
