3.12. Oil pump

Removal

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. The oil pump is located in a forward cover of a bent shaft and is put in action directly from a bent shaft.
2. Merge engine oil from the engine and unscrew an oil filter.
3. Lift a forward part of the car and record on supports.
4. Remove the mechanism of a tension of a gear belt, a gear belt and a pulley of a bent shaft.
5. Disconnect the electric socket from the oil pressure sensor. Remove a single pulley. Unscrew bolts, remove the oil pump (An arrangement of bolts of fastening of the oil pump).

Check

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Uncover the oil pump a back part of the case of the oil pump.
2. Note a relative positioning of internal and external rotors of the oil pump for the correct subsequent installation of rotors in the oil pump.
3. Take rotors from the case of the oil pump.
4. Unscrew a stopper of the safety valve and take a spring and the safety valve.
5. Carefully clear all details of the oil pump and check their state.
6. Check a condition of the piston of the safety valve and a spring.
7. Using a probe edge, check a gap between teeths of rotors of the oil pump.
8. Using a probe edge, check a gap between an external rotor and the case of the oil pump.
9. Using a depth gage, check an axial side play of rotors of the oil pump.

Installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Oil the piston of the safety valve pure engine and install all elements of the valve in the case of the oil pump.
2. Oil rotors pure engine and install them in the case of the oil pump according to earlier put tags. Establish a cover of the oil pump.
3. Install a new sealing ring of round section in the case of the oil pump and replace a forward sealing ring of a bent shaft.
4. Apply a thin film of sealant on the interfaced surface of the case of the oil pump.
5. Install the oil pump on the block of cylinders and fix by bolts.
