GENERAL INFORMATION

Check of the executive mechanism of the gate of a turbocharger

Check of increase in pressure of a turbocharger

The gate of a turbocharger provides additional increase in turns of a turbocharger at a low speed without increase in turns at a high speed. The executive mechanism of the gate (solenoid) is operated pressure signal received from compressed air at the turbocharger exit.

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Remove a pressure head hose from the gate valve.
2. Connect the manual pump to a pressure head hose and create pressure of 0,07 bars and check that draft of the executive mechanism moves (see rice. Check of the executive mechanism of the gate of a turbocharger).
3. If at tests draft of the executive mechanism of the gate does not move, replace the executive mechanism of the gate.
4. Check pressure of increase in a turbocharger. If increase in pressure too big, the engine can knock, and the air will be let out via the safety air valve. Too small increase in pressure reduces engine capacity. For check of increase in pressure warm up the engine up to the normal working temperature and connect a tee with the manometer to a pressure head hose of the soaking-up pipeline (see rice. Check of increase in pressure of a turbocharger).
5. Press a pedal of coupling and increase engine turns to 4600 rpm and check pressure of increase which has to make 0,5 bars.
