8.2.10. Removal and installation of the transmission

Removal

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Open a cowl and record it in this situation.
2. Remove a weight wire from the accumulator.
3. Remove an air inlet tubule.
4. Mark and disconnect electric sockets from the forward sensor of oxygen, a plait of the transmission, grounding of the transmission, the switch of blocking of a starter and lamps of a backing and the sensor of speed of the car.
5. Remove a starter.
6. Remove a forward support of the engine (bolts of fastening of a support are specified by shooters).
7. Instead of a support of the engine it is recommended to install the special tool to adjust an engine tilt angle for simplification of removal of the transmission. In the absence of the special tool it is necessary to use a jack to lift a forward part of the engine.
8. Unscrew the hydrotransformer from a drive plate.
9. Remove a stopper (it is specified by an arrow) from a gas distribution mechanism opening.
10. Note mutual position of the hydrotransformer and a plate of the drive (the arrow specified an arrangement of a bolt of fastening of the hydrotransformer to a drive plate).
11. Unscrew 4 bolts which fix the hydrotransformer to a drive plate.
12. Take the probe for measurement of level of oil.
13. Unscrew the top right bolt (it is specified by an arrow) fastenings of the transmission to the engine.
14. Lift the car and record on supports.
15. Disconnect the electric socket from the back sensor of oxygen.
16. Remove a forward part of the exhaust system.
17. Merge oil from the transmission.
18. Disconnect heat exchanger hoses from metal pipes on the transmission.
19. Unscrew the top arm of fastening of a pipe for the probe of measurement of level of oil.
20. Unscrew the lower bolt of fastening of a pipe for the probe of measurement of level of oil.
21. On models 4WD remove the driveshaft.
22. Disconnect a cable of the choice of transfers from the lever on the transmission and remove a cable cover from the transmission.
23. Unscrew a clip of the plug of the stabilizer of cross stability from a beam.
24. Disconnect power shafts from the transmission.
25. Unscrew the lower nuts (are specified by shooters) fastenings of the transmission to the engine.
26. Prop up the transmission a jack.
27. Remove a back beam, having unscrewed bolts and nuts of fastening (are specified by shooters).
28. Using the special adaptation installed instead of a forward support of the engine, or using a jack, raise a forward part of the engine.
29. Moving the transmission from the engine, disconnect the hydrotransformer from a plate of the drive and lower the transmission down. Hold the hydrotransformer on primary to a transmission shaft.

Installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Lift the transmission and combine with the engine.
2. Establish a back beam.
3. Slowly move the transmission to the engine and screw the lower nuts of fastening of the transmission, having tightened them the required moment. Screw in the top bolt of fastening of the transmission to the engine and tighten it the required moment.
4. Combine tags on the hydrotransformer and a plate of the drive and fix the hydrotransformer to a drive plate by bolts, having tightened them the required moment.
5. Establish power shafts.
6. Screw clips of the plug of the stabilizer of cross stability.
7. Connect a cable of the choice of transfers to the lever of the choice of transfers of the transmission and check its adjustment.
8. On models 4WD install the driveshaft.
9. Connect hoses of the heat exchanger and establish a pipe for the probe for measurement of level of oil.
10. Establish earlier removed elements of the exhaust system.
11. Connect the electric socket of the back sensor of oxygen.
12. Lower the car.
13. Establish a forward support of the engine.
14. Establish a starter.
15. Connect electric sockets of the forward sensor of oxygen, a plait of the transmission, the tire of grounding, the switch of blocking of a starter and light of a backing and the sensor of speed of the car.
16. Add the recommended liquid in the transmission and install the probe for measurement of level of liquid.
17. Connect a weight wire to the accumulator.
18. Check work of a cable of the choice of transfers.
